Ilorin: A traveler’s guide

Satisfy both your historian and the nature loving part of yourself at the emirate capital of of Kwara. Home to University of Ilorin, Al-Hikmah University, Kwara state University/Polytechnic and other tertiary institutions.

Catch a view of Alfa Alimi’s mosque, a beautiful significance of religion in the city. You can also kill two birds with a stone as the Emir’s palace is just right beside the mosque. A time-out to owu falls (the highest natural waterfall in Nigeria) in Ifelodun LGA of the city wouldn’t’t be a waste of time…

Where to Buy?

The post office/challenge area is an arena where you can get some of your needs. Well, if you are not satisfied enough, the bigger market is beside the Emir’s palace…After buying your own needs, remember to buy my own too (hides face) Foodstuffs? Yeah Clothes? Yeah. Everything you need is there (market wise though).

And if you need pots of different sizes and functions (you may need a flower pit actually) go to Dada, Okelele area of Ilorin.

There’s no shopping mall?? Oh no!! Head to Fate road where you can find Shoprite…If you still have time, take a rest and thrill yourself with blockbuster movies at the Cinema (viva entertainment) right beside Shoprite…

I want food?

Enjoy the delight of bread that comes in varieties from the stable of Ostrich Bakery located along Taiwo road (opposite Oja iya junction) or along Tanke road… (If you can’t go to the first, visit the second)…Iya yusuf and T n K restaurant are at Tanke too, if you want the delight of African delicacy (buy according to your purse). You can also

Enjoy a light meal at Royals restaurant along Ahmadu Bello road (close to challenge).
