NIGERIA AIR FORCE (NAF) PLEDGES ALLEGIANCE IN PROTECTING THE NATION’S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY

The Commander, NAF Base Services Group, Enugu, Air Commodore Ebenezer Alade, after the `3rd Quarter 10 Kilometer Route March’’ of all NAF personnel in Enugu on Saturday said that “ the Nigeria Air Force  has urged its officers and soldiers to keep fit and be ready for deployment or redeployment to various operational theatres in order to protect territorial integrity of the nation”. He stated that officers and soldiers should stick to massive and tasking deployment. Mr. Alade also noted that officers and soldiers of Nigeria Air Force must live up to meet the demand of various theatres of operations in the North East, South-South, South-West (Lagos and Ogun States) and Jos. The officers and airmen were implored to always and constantly keep fit even in their own time. Many of them would be deployed and redeployed to various NAF’s operational theater in the country. He reminded the officers and soldiers that the sole mission of the NAF is to protect and safe-guard the territorial integrity of the country knowing that they have all vowed and sworn to protect the territorial integrity of the country to the extent of paying the ultimate sacrifice. He mentioned that the Route March was also meant to build comradeship with members of the public, especially peace loving Nigerians. Mr. Alade in his statement said “We are also ready to maintain peace in all states and communities where NAF base, formation and units exist.’’
