According to a tweet this morning by rapper Minaj, she and Meek Mill have ended their almost three years long relationship. In early 2015, their relationship was all but publicly confirmed, following them posting numerous photographs of one another on their social media accounts. Before that, the two had collaborated for The Pinkprint tracks “Big Daddy” and “Buy a Heart.” Minaj also made appearances on Meek’s 2015 album Dreams Worth More Than Money. Now, they’ve split, although this does not seem to affect her as she says she’ll have new music soon.
Over the past three weeks rumours concerning their relationship with a suggestive Instagram of a pair of Chanel slides, Nicki Minaj has made things official with an announcement about her love life. On Thursday, the queen of the Barbz took to Twitter to confirm that things are indeed over with on-again-off-again-boo-turned-maybe-fiancé Meek Mill. According to Nicki, she is focusing on work in 2017.
In mid-December Nicki wrote these Beyoncé-inspired words on Instagram: “Thank God I dodged the bullet. I’m so over u. Baby good lookin out. #BestThingUNeverHad.”
Posting a picture of white Giuseppe Zanotti wedge sneakers worth your rent, a petty Meek advised [and latter deleted], “if you walk out don’t wear these they wack”. referring to shoes in picturing.
The pricey wedge kicks are the very same ones Nicki Minaj had on her feet in Ciara’s “I’m Out” video featuring the rapper. Coincidentally, Minaj is rapping about exes shading her on Instagram on the break-up track.
